  • Eco-Home (Asia): Eco-housing measures for the protection of environment

The aims of the project is to provide Asian cities with information, knowledge and urban environmental tools. As a result, partners are looking for the sharing and replication of good practice and technical and managerial information in the area of urban environment and more especially the issue of environmental problems related to housing, waste management, water sanitation. It also aims to create a permanent and sustainable dialog, and mutual understanding on identified burdens to more environmental friendly solutions of housing especially in poorer areas. The project will bring understandable methodology and tools which will be delivered through training sessions. It will create a permanent observatory and bring expertise via demonstrations and testing tools on the ground in the final phase. The tools and demonstration will be on waste management, water sanitation, transport and land planning, eco-building and building techniques.

  • Youth

New Towns have several actions regarding the youth: youth councils, alternative school systems and actions for the youth in difficulty. The partners decided to focus on the theme engaging young people. Under this topic, we can involve several activities like youth councils, sport actions and dialog with communities.

  • Migration: support local partnerships for a better integration of migrants >>> Document
  • Yes Project

The aim of the project is twofold: to create a wide support exchange between 2 networks promoting civil society and Youth actions; and to improve tools, methods and efficiency of 150 small member organizations from 68 cities in Bosnia. The target groups are the staff, volunteers and managers of the 150 member organizations of the Youth resource network's organization, and the final indirect target group are young people and the socially fragile. The actions proposed are 1/to develop tools and methodologies by the organization of 2 one week Seminars, discussion groups training, and dialog involving the member organizations 2/ The collection of data and formalization of tools and training kits 2/The creation of a personal exchange between the politicians and managers of both networks and 3/ dissemination, and publication reports.

  • SMOBI

Project : SMOBI Sustainable mobility of growing towns

Program: INTERREG IIIC
Max budget 2 million Euros
Co-financing part: 50% for non Objective 1 areas and 75% for Objective 1 areas.

Growing cities were built mainly around road accesses and car vehicles have created congestion and air pollution problems. Growing cities are known as the cities for car use. However, the 6 partners got aware of the risks and tried to develop soft access schemes. For that purpose they need common tools on master planning and for drafting cycle and pedestrian axis.
The soft access schemes are developed by all cities (in the past).

For the future, the project is proposing trans-national actions
- The projects proposes the exchange of tools on master planning
- The definition of common concepts
- The definition of a common charter

Network or Action project:
The partners had to choose between an action based project or a network based project.

Characteristics of action projects: limited number of participants (4-6), concrete actions that involves social and urban issues. The local actions of the different partners must be linked to each other.

Characteristics of network projects: larger number of participants (maximum 10). Activities of exchange of knowledge and good practice.

The participants made the decision for a network based project.

It means, that we will look for other participants in this project.
