The occupation of our organization
The Institute provides the following services and activities:
- research on the municipal space quality and urban processes effectiveness
- studies of conditions and directions in spatial planning of gminas and local physical plans
- forecasting of the financial effects of spatial plans
- environmental impact assessments ( EIA)
- natural conditions of development
- transportation studies for the local planning
- designs and conception for technical infrastructure
- road management in cities
- long-term programmes for municipalities’ housing-stock management
- housing and building monitoring, real-estate market analysis
- housing development strategies and housing financing
- conceptions of resolving housing problems faced by less affluent people
- analyses of economic effectiveness of public investment projects
- cost calculation of construction and assembly works
Cooperation with ENTP
The Institute of Urban Development has co-operated with the ENTP since the beginning of the platform. The Institute has participated in several meetings in the frame of the ENTP:
- Brussels, Belgium – 11/09/2003 „Brainstorming Event” event focused on possible directions of development of the ENTP
- Zoetermeer – Holland - 22/01/2004 conference “Image and Identity of New Towns”
- Harlow - UK - 19/ 05/ 2004, first meeting focused on the launching of project sunder the Youth programme.
The Institute has also managed to start up networking among Polish New Towns. It resulted among others in the invitation of representatives of polish new towns to two of the above mentionned meetings.
The Institute has also commited itself in participating in projects organised by the ENTP:
- Knowledge centers under Interreg IIIC
- Two projects under Youth programme
- Three projects under Asia Urbs programme
